Drought ravages Northern parts of Kenya

Drought 

 The northern parts of Kenya is experiencing drought and an insufficient rainfall has affected the most part of this area as climate scientist are forecasting a worse situation 

since the start of October some areas are experiencing isolated storms which are capable  causing flash floods  

The northern region of Kenya had locals  are resorting to digging  for drinking and cooking  water the situation that is considered dangerous 

pastorals areas are affected by the droughts and herders are loosing lots of livestock,  The labors of hard digging only provides a relief of brown, salty and murky water  which is key to the survival of the Livestock. 


Visible dug holes are apparent in some areas as the herders await the scanty rain. 

the government had observed that this drought is the worse experienced in 40 Years , Livestock are  dying  as these situation persist.

The United Nation Refugee agency UNHCR, issued a statement calling for humanitarian aids for $472.6 in aid in the coming year to respond to respond to the drought that has affected lots of people in Kenya 


The deputy president Rigathi Gachagua on Tuesday appealed for aids to mitigate the scourge in this areas 

There is a likelihood of similar situation in the Horn of Africa as Kenya, Somalia and Ethiopia are bracing up for the worst in that region
